I use this lens on a Nikon D700. I am pleasantly surprised by the quality of this lens. I was somewhat tentative about purchasing this lens, as I have previously owned the original 24-70, 2.8, and found it to be slow to focus, and not all that sharp. Sigma hit a home run with this new version, however. Not only is it a fast lens with the 2.8, but it is extremely fast to focus with the new HSM. I have taken a couple thousand photos with this lens, and find it extremely sharp, even wide open. Colors are very saturated, and accurate, and I do not find any color cast, as was the case with the original version. The lens is very well built, and on the heavy side, but it balances well on my D700. If you want a quality lens, that performs as well as the Nikon equivalent, at half the cost, this lens will not disappoint you.
